**Update 13 is similar to Update 12, but this update incorporates some in-office best practices and protocols as we move forward.**
Wooten Employees -
The statewide stay-at-home order is expected to be lifted on Friday, May 8th (tomorrow), and Governor Cooper has laid out three-phase plan to reopen businesses and public facilities. Phase 1 begins tomorrow at 5 pm and we encourage you to begin your transition back to the office during this period. We will continue to operate as an ‘essential business’ with work-at-home being an option for all employees on a voluntary basis. We want to remain flexible and accommodating as we transition back to a more normal work environment, but we realize a ‘one size fits all’ solution is not feasible. Please bear in mind:
1. Employees at higher risk (given health/age susceptibilities) who are concerned with returning to the office environment should discuss work-at-home arrangements with your supervisors.
2. Employees with young or school age children who may be unable to report to the office because of continued daycare and school closures should discuss work-at-home arrangements with your supervisors.
3. When returning to the office, you may wish to bring whatever personal protection equipment (PPE) you deem appropriate. Katrina Perry has a limited number of new, washable face masks available for your use upon request.
4. When returning to the office, you may wish to further disinfect your personal workspaces to the extent you deem appropriate. The Raleigh office and regional offices continue to be cleaned on a routine schedule.
5. While in the office, continue to practice social distancing and good hygiene. Clean up after yourself. Wipe down surfaces. Sanitize your hands frequently. ‘Elbow bumps’ and ‘golf high-5s’ are preferred greetings.
6. In Office Communication
a. Employees are encouraged to use telephone, Teams or Webex for communication.
b. In person meetings should be limited in duration to the extent practical.
c. Employees should maintain a standing/seating distance of 6 feet apart.
d. Hard surfaces should be wiped down after meetings.
7. Office Visitations
a. Employees are strongly discouraged from allowing outside visitors to enter the office buildings including vendors, colleagues, families and friends.
b. External entryways should be secured and monitored to allow necessary mail/package drop-offs/pick-ups.
c. Doors should continue to be locked during business hours to prevent unauthorized access.
8. Client Visitations
a. Our clients have taken different positions on remote v. in-person meetings.
b. If the client allows remote meetings, do not go to the site and instead use telephone, Teams or Webex for communication.
c. If the client prefers/insists in person meetings, please take necessary precautions and practice social distancing if you are comfortable in doing so. Take whatever PPE you deem appropriate. If you are uncomfortable attending, the Company will not require you to attend. You should address any such issues with your supervisor so we can inform our client accordingly.
9. Company Vehicles/Travel
a. We encourage employees not to travel between offices until Phase 1 expires.
b. Company vehicles remain available for use at your discretion.
c. While we normally encourage use of company vehicles before personal vehicles, the use of personal vehicles is encouraged through Phase 1.
d. All personal vehicle mileage/expenses should be tracked and reported on your expense reports during the same timesheet period.
Again, our goal is to remain flexible and accommodating while sustaining our daily operations.
Thank you for your patience, perseverance and hard work. (And don’t forget to complete your timesheets daily…)
