Wooten Employees –
• As of today (March 24th) the NC DHHS has reported 398 cases statewide of COVID 19. This is 101 more cases than the March 23rd case count.
• Governor Cooper hosted a conference call with the NC League of Municipalities today at 2:30 pm. My abbreviated notes from the call are attached to this email.
• No ‘stay at home’ mandates have been issued statewide for NC or SC.
• Mecklenburg County and its municipalities have issued a joint ‘stay at home’ proclamation (attached) restricting ‘non-essential travel’ for ‘non-essential businesses and operations’ for 21 days. More clarification is being sought from Charlotte area engineering firms regarding the definition of ‘essential’.
• Pitt County Commissioners have issued a 2 week countywide ‘stay at home’ order for all unincorporated areas. Likewise, Greenville Mayor PJ Connelly is strongly urging residents to stay home.
• No ‘stay at home’ mandates have been issued for Catawba, Forsyth, Wake and Brunswick (NC) or Richland (SC) counties.
The Wooten Company Board of Directors is meeting tomorrow AM to discuss impacts from recently enacted Federal legislation and to review work-from-home policies/procedures in the event more mandates are enacted.
In the interim, we continue to trust you to make the best decisions for you and your family. We continue to operate in a voluntary work-from-home arrangement.
Thank you again for your patience and hard work.
